子どもが来月の給食の献立表を持って帰ってきました。
家族でドラマ『おいしい給食』にはまっているため、今まではさっと流していたプリントをじっくり検証。
とにかく給食は彩り豊か。
野菜嫌いの子どもは少々持て余してしまいそうですが、給食が好きな子をもつ親としてはかなりありがたい存在です。
まずはドラマ『おいしい給食』について。
1980年代の中学校が舞台で、現在シーズン2が放送中（シーズン1および劇場版はAmazon Primeで見ることができます）。
いまの学生の親世代の学校給食のはなし。
「私の頃は〇〇だったよ」と世代格差や地域格差の給食話で盛り上がり、家族団らんにおすすめのドラマです。
ちなみに、ドラマの中に「パン中心だった主食に米飯が♡( *´艸｀)」という話もあります。
日本のことだから給食は昔から米中心かと思いきや意外にもパン食。
それは給食の成り立ちが関係しているようで、諸説ありますが戦後日本を占領していたアメリカの人たちが子どもたちの現状を見て食糧援助したことが始まり、だから昔は脱脂粉乳とパンだったと考えられています。
本庄市内の小中学校にも給食があります。
自校式ではなく給食センターから配送されるシステムなので、配送時間がある分だけ冷めてしまうデメリットがありますが、いくつかの学校が集まっている分だけ単位当たりの経費が安くなっているというメリットもあります。

メニューは小中似ていますが、小学生は1食当たりの摂取カロリーが600～700kcalに、中学生は800～900kcalに調整されているようです。
学校給食がある理由の1つに貧困問題と栄養問題の解消があります。
調べてみたら1日で摂取する理想的なカロリーは、小学生の場合は2000kcal前後、中学生の場合は約2500kcal前後なので、給食は理想的な1食と言えるようです。

カラダに優しくておいしい学校給食の1つ、杉並区の給食が書籍化されました（”待望”だったようです）。
栄養バランスが良く、子どもの好きな野菜たっぷり献立など、家族が安心して美味しく食べられるメニューがもりだくさんと評価されています。
「みんなが大好きな給食のカレー」…わかる！
「きなこ豆乳トースト」…ん？
「ポテトたこ揚げ」…んん？
「トマトシチュー」…いまの子どもってこんな凝ったものを食べているのでしょうか？
